All beekeepers and members of the public are asked to be vigilant for sightings of the Yellow Legged Asian Hornet (vespa velutina) which is a non-native invasive species which poses a significant risk to honey bees, bumble bees and other pollinating insects.
If you think you have seen one, then be sure to take photographs or video and compare your images with those on the BBKA website.
