Warkworth Show Honey Classes 17th Aug

The Warkworth Show takes place on the Saturday 17th August

The show is a great day. You don’t have to be an expert to enter honey – you just need to have some! Filter it well and enter it it 1lb jars. Don’t label it in any way. When you submit your entry on the day you will be given a number, which you stick onto the jar. Give me, 01665 714 213, or John Hobrough, 01665 711 203, a ring if you want further tips.
Here is the entry form

Note the novice classes. No matter how long you have been keeping bees, if you have not entered previously, you may enter the novice class.

As in previous years, if you find it difficult to get to the show ground in the morning of the 17th, If you bring your entries to me during the week before the show, I will look after them and submit them. You must, however, send your entry in, by email, if you like, to the address on the form, but put on the form that you will give your entry money to me. My address is 11 Watershaugh Road, Warkworth, telephone 01665 714 213. Ring to make sure I am in when you bring your entry.

This tells you all about the show, and you can download more entry forms and schedules.

The Honey Sector of the show raises great interest and is a good advertisement for the Association. Willie Robson is the judge. He gives his time and it is important that we put on a good show.

Every good wish
